Open minded
“Open-minded”, a contemporary (or modern) term which refers not only to the individual attitude of being open to everything new but also denotes an unconventional way of thinking and the habit of self-criticism. Individuals who are open-minded go through life aware of and alert to everything around them. They are receptive, open to and tolerant of new, different and unfamiliar ideas and opinions.
People who can combine the many different disciplines of accounting and auditing or the professional field of a fiduciary agent or consultant with a way of thinking that focuses on individual professional issues, will be allowed to advance. Complex challenges and problems and important developments of a business or political nature require that specialists be continually willing to learn and acquire new knowledge and expertise. But more than that, they also require bold thinking. Strategic and integrated thinking is not just an internal credo, it is also a success factor and a response to the demands of the market. When individual staff members exhibit this ability, they show that they have a highly developed sense of individual initiative and responsibility as well as the willingness to dedicate a great proportion of their time to their profession – or rather to their vocation.
